1 Week old

Justin, Robin and Aiden came over this morning. Aiden is 1 week old. Robin and Aiden have gotten the hang of being a nursing couple, they are doing great! He is even sleeping for longer stretches at night and averaging waking up and nursing every three sometimes four hours. Robin looks great and is feeling pretty good. We weighed Aiden on my scales and it said he weighed 9 1/2 lbs. , but I am not sure my scales are real accurate. They take Aiden to the Dr's on Wedensday this coming week so we will see. All said, they really did have a good first week together as a family.

First visit to Grandma & Grandpa's house

Easter Sunday, and Aiden's first visit to our house. It was a very nice afternoon. The guys watched the tournament and Robin, Aiden and I visited in the computer room. Robin is feeling better about breast feeding, she was struggling with it the last two days, but today was much better. She is learning. Aiden is a very calm baby,

relaxed and seems content. He is strong to, when you hold
him up on your shoulder he will lift his head briefly.

1st day in the world

He is so sweet! I went around lunchtime and got to hold that baby for an hour! He was wide awake and so attentive. Loves to hear you talk and will look right at you. He has the longest fingers and toes. As you can see from the pictures his pointy head has gone down. I love his hair. When Robin puts the crocheted hat that the hospital gave her on his head his hair sticks out through the holes!

We are now offically GP'S!!

Aiden was born @ 7:27pm on 3/20/08. He weighed 8.9lbs and was 21 1/2" long. Full head of hair. He was very alert the whole time we were there. Robin looks great, very tired. Justin is running on adrenaline, and doesn't quite know how to act yet! Robin will be in the hospital until Sat. I took only a few Pictures tonight as the nurses cam in to take him to the nursery to have all the newborn tests. Can't wait to see him tomorrow.

First Day of spring-2008

Today is the first day of spring! Our first Grandchild will be born today. Robin and Justin are at the hospital as I write this post. We are anxiouly awaiting the birth of Aiden Daniel Pitstick! They arrived at the hospital @ 6am. Since Robin was overdue by 10 days, they set this date to induce. I was there briefly @ 12pm and she had just had her two worst contractions. I figure Aiden will make his appearnce around 7pm tonight. The room that she is in @ Duplin General Hospital is really nice. It is a birthing room so she will not need to be moved to deliver.

The Forget - Me- Nots that I planted from Aiden's shower just sprouted this week - appropriate since he will be born today! Will post more later.
